Come stay in cottage Plaets Vier, located in our yard. It is located in a part of the former stable between our garden and the donkey pasture. The cottage is furnished for 1 to 4 persons. Suitable for peace and quiet, nature lovers, hikers, cyclists, families, dog owners and for anyone who wants to retire. You arrive at the cottage via a private driveway and private entrance. From the cottage and the private enclosed garden you can enjoy the view of our animals and the Brabant countryside. In the cottage everything is available to be completely self-sufficient. You can stay in the cottage for a minimum of 2 nights up to a maximum of 2 weeks. Description From the cottage and the garden you have a view of the donkey pasture and the countryside. The living room is equipped with a seating area and an open kitchen with a four-burner gas stove, coffee maker, kettle, fridge freezer, microwave oven, pans and other tableware. (A new kitchen with dishwasher is planned for March 2022) The bedroom has a double bed and a bunk bed in a niche with curtain and closet space. You can heat the cottage using the cozy pellet stove. There is a bathroom with sink and walk-in shower. The toilet is a separate room with washbasin. In the hall there is enough space to store bicycles and the possibility to charge them. Guests have their own fenced garden, private driveway and free WiFi. Linen (bed linen, bath towels and kitchen (hand) towels) are optionally available for rent. Of course you can also bring your own linen. In the mosquito season the beds are equipped with a mosquito net. Baby crib available on request. The chickens, cats and our own dog run free on the property. If your dog is not used to it, please keep it on a leash or inside the fence. A quiet, rural environment with some farm houses and several nature reserves within cycling distance, such as De Peel, De Biezen, De Grotelse Heide and the Croy Estate. There are numerous cycling and walking routes here. It is also possible to create your own route through the cycling or walking route network. Some of these routes are just tens of meters from the cottage. Also directly from the cottage you can make beautiful walks in a varied landscape. With a little luck and patience you will spot a roe deer, a fox, a hare, a great egret, green woodpecker, kingfisher or the rare partridge. In the vicinity there is plenty to do and there are many possibilities for a fun day out. Helmond is five kilometers away and to Eindhoven it is 15 kilometers. Why is it called Plaets Vier? The cottage is located in hamlet "Het Laar", in the countryside between Aarle-Rixtel, Beek en Donk and Lieshout. On "Het Laar" there is no distinction between even and odd numbers on one side of the road and the other. If you check the numbers you may discover that number 4 is missing. On the spot where the stable was built a long time ago, there was Het Laar 4 even longer ago. Hence Four. Place is another word for farm and because it is a long time ago that there was a farm we have chosen the old spelling: Plaets. Four, of course, also stands for celebrate.
